Round Up of Painted Furniture Pieces in My Home

I love painting furniture for many reasons, so today I'm going to share some of my favorite painted pieces in my home.

One of the reasons I love painting furniture is how economical it is.  Almost all of the pieces I have painted are from a thrift store.  I find the quality of old furniture to be somewhat improved on today's new buys.  You  can find solid wood pieces for great prices.  In addition, you are able to find unique pieces that you aren't going to find at a big box store.  Lastly, the possibilities are endless when it comes to paint and what you create with your painted furniture is a unique piece that is personal to your home and style.

There are many different methods of painting and many different types of paint.  As you work your way through this post, you will see quite a variety.  Painting is easy, can be fun, and if you mess it up, you just repaint it so you don't have much to lose! Alternatively, if you have a piece you really love – possibly even an antique – you can always hire a professional painter to ensure it is done to perfection!
