My book pick for March was Kristin Hannah’s new novel, The Nightingale. I have read many of her books and liked them all equally, but this one was a cut above the rest.
The Nightingale is a historical fiction book about the effects of World War II on the lives of women and children in France. The novel centers around two sisters and their story. I was mesmerized by the picture she painted of life at the time of war and the hardships that were endured.
Here is a review I thought put it into words so well.
This is an author who is new to me, but I LOVE WWII history and fiction set in that era! Thanks for the synopsis!
