Princess for the Night= Rent The Runway

Recently a friend told me about Rent the Runway.  I had heard of them, but never really had a chance to try it until we were invited to a fundraiser this weekend.  I have my go-to black dress that I always wear (you can read more of that post HERE), but decided I wanted to mix it up and try something new.

Have you ever thought how you'd love to have a Trina Turk, Tory Burch, Alice & Olivia, Bagdley Mischka, Vera Wang dress?  Well now you can (if only for a night!)

In comes, Rent the Runway.

You rent a dress that is so out of your budget and for one night, you feel like you own the runway!

Simple. Easy. And oh so Pretty!

The service is very easy to use.

This is how it works.

They have an online store in which you can filter through dresses multiple ways including: size, price you are willing to pay, designer, occasion, color or length, age or even body type.

Once you have filtered through your options, you can plug-in your date of the event.  You want to give yourself a window of a day or two before, that way you have a cushion.  Total your rental is for 4 days so consider that in your timeframe.

Next read the reviews!  People who have worn the dress you are considering will rate it, show pictures of it and include information you may want such as: fits snug, uncomfortable etc.

After you've decided, place it in your cart.  They will then give you an option to take a second size for free.  Do it!  I did and thank goodness because the first size I chose did not work.  Unfortunately, I had to go with the second (larger) size 🙁 But, I'm so glad that it was an option.

Rent the Runway will then email you when it has shipped and it will arrive at your doorstep sometime before 8PM on the day you specified.

In the package will be a prepaid shipping UPS bag to send it back.  Just make sure to get it mailed back by the deadline.  You don't want to forget about it when your festivities are over.

I was extremely happy with not only the dress but the service.

Here is the dress I chose.  It was a Badgley Mischka.

They made it extremely easy to have a one of a kind dress for a special occasion!  Next time you have a special event, wedding or party, definitely consider using the RTR service!

Have you ever tried Rent the Runway before?

Let me know your thoughts.

To life feeling like home!

XO,

Amy

I’ve been really curious about Rent The Runway, and would love to try it out at some point! I have basically no events to have an excuse to wear something fancy though, so until then, I don’t think it’ll be happening. That dress looks gorgeous on you!
