A deep farmhouse sink and gorgeous faucet create the perfect backdrop for my cottage kitchen renovation.

I’m so excited today to finally give you a sneak peek of our kitchen renovation! We aren’t completely done yet, so this will be one of many reveals, but we are able to cook again and I am so excited to have a sink to wash dishes in. It was certainly a long process that hit many snags along the way! I am ever so grateful to be where we are now and can’t wait to show you what we’ve done!
One of my biggest wants for this space was a farmhouse sink. I have always admired those deep sinks for hiding dishes down in and washing out large pots and pans. I just love the extended panel on the front which adds such a pretty design element to a kitchen.
In doing my research, I decided on one large bowl instead of two. The reason being that I wanted that extra space for washing large platters for entertaining, baking sheets, and even roasters. My previous sink was a divided one and I really didn’t have enough room for laying flat cutting boards or platters to wash. I also wanted to make sure whichever sink I chose would be long-lasting and durable. I ultimately decided on the Elkay Fireclay Single Bowl Farmhouse Sink because the fireclay material makes it stain and scratch resistant. Knowing that we have three children and lots of dishes, I wanted to make sure it was durable. Along with durability, this particular farmhouse sink is extra deep and sound-deadening!
Plus, you can see for yourself that it is absolutely gorgeous!
This is the Elkay Fireclay 29-7/8″ x 19-3/4″ x 10-1/16″, Single Bowl Farmhouse Sink.
Now let’s talk about the faucet! This is the Elkay Explore Single Hole Kitchen Faucet in Lustrous Steel.
It has a pull-down sprayer with a stream or a spray setting which helps get into the corners of this large sink and rinse thoroughly even your toughest caked on food. I like that it does not show fingerprints and has everything you need all in one hand.
Every time I walk by my new sink and faucet, I smile. I love all the features and how perfectly it compliments my new kitchen design.
