Thank you to Minted for partnering with me to bring you this inspiration space. As always, thoughts and opinions are 100% mine. Thank you for supporting those that make My Life From Home possible! See full disclosure, here.
If you are just hopping in now, welcome! I have joined Linda from Calling it Home as a guest participant in the bi-annual One Room Challenge. It is now week 5 of 6, so things are getting real around here. This week was all about the fun stuff. I love styling a room. It’s truly one of my favorite things to do. Artwork, accessories, and all the little extra’s transform a ho-hum room into something really special. This week, I’m honored to team up with Minted for some unique artwork from independent artists that will truly make this room a beautiful space!
Some of the issues that need to be addressed through the challenge:
√1.New Wall Treatment: walls need to be updated to anchor the space
√2.Get rid of the bunk beds and instead, create a “couch” with twin beds.
√3.Find the perfect dresser for the space.
4.Reconfigure closet to create a desk space and storage.
√5.New wall art and accessories for the room.
If you are not familiar with Minted, they commission art through independent artists to bring it online to customers like us. Not only fine art, but stationary, fabric, and other home decor items as well. The selection is amazing, so I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites. I just loved so many! In addition to having a choice of sizes, you can choose from a variety of framing options as well.
I ended up going with these three pieces and had two of them framed in gold and one in white. I like the combination of both types of frames especially in a kid’s space when you do not want things to be too formal.
I chose the watercolor horse because my daughter rides on an equestrian team and loves horses. The other two prints just stood out to me because of their whimsical and fun nature.
