Week 3

This dresser was a steal for $60! It is large with eight drawers and is a well-made piece. The hardware is a beautiful brass that just needed a good cleaning with Brasso.
Using paint from Devine Color by Valspar, I painted the entire dresser in this gorgeous blue. I am completely sold on this paint! It is one coat coverage and contains the primer right in the paint, so no need to prime first! I loved the color and the smooth and silky finish. It comes in a variety of colors including chalkboard finishes and you can pick it up at Target!!
It dried to this gray- blue that is just stunning with the newly cleaned hardware!
Not to be outdone, I trimmed out the mirror with this gorgeous gold also from Devine Color by Valspar. I have seen gold paint before that dries a real yellow color, this one dried a true gold with a shiny metallic surface.
And while I was at it, I painted a couple of IKEA shelf brackets I plan to use in the closet in gold also.
