NEW Look & Summer in the Dining Room

We have a new look in the dining room with two new antique pieces I picked up on Facebook Marketplace!

You may have wondered what replaced the hutch in our dining room when I posted about moving it to our bedroom (LINK). Today, I'm sharing about my two new pieces and the switch I made to update our dining space and get it dressed for summer!

I've been wanting to incorporate more antiques in this space since the library in the adjoining space has been slowly updated with new additions.  The biggest want was a new antique wood hutch to house my Liberty Blue Transferware dishes. Just wait until you see what I found!  I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful piece and in perfect condition. I don't know much about it, but the lovely couple was so generous to even deliver it to my house!  They said it was a family heirloom and having recently moved, it no longer worked. I couldn't be happier to have this new precious piece!

To update this space for summer, I added a new tablecloth to my table (LINK).  It's pretty stripe and tassels are perfect for summer!

I also am not sure if you saw my new dining room chairs from Ballard Designs?  I got these a few months ago after a couple of our chairs basically fell apart.  Purchased from the outlet, I love how the color ties in so nicely with the dresser (now buffet) I moved in here from the bedroom.

I also moved my pedestal in here with my spider plant and created a plate wall above it.  On the mantel, a couple of framed prints, books, and brass candlesticks give it a layered look.Summer in the Dining Room~ White Cottage Home & LivingSummer in the Dining Room~ White Cottage Home & Living

The last piece I added was also a Facebook Marketplace find.  This small hinged front buffet/ desk will be a perfect little spot to set up a bar and drink station when hosting, but for now looks pretty with a small lamp and more blue and white dishes.
