October 2014 Stitch Fix Box

Have you discovered Stitch Fix yet?  If you haven't you may want to check it out.  It is like having your own personal shopper.  I signed up last spring and have been receiving boxes via the mail once a month.  The way it works is you sign up online and fill out an extensive profile “questionnaire” including your sizes, style preferences, type of clothing/ accessories you desire and cost you're willing to spend in each area.

You decide how often you want the boxes to arrive.  The fee is $20 and the cost goes towards the items you decide to purchase.  Each box arrives with five items and you have three days to decide or send back the items you do not want in the enclosed postage-paid envelope.  If you choose nothing, you are out your $20, but if you choose all five then you save 25% on the items. You can cancel if you don’t like it, there wasn’t much to lose

Every “mystery” box arrives with anything from earrings to purses to clothing.  It is really fun to see what you get.  Along with the items are styling cards to help you style your new items.  In addition, your personal stylist writes you a note which is enclosed.

If you know you have a special event coming up, you have the option of writing a note to your stylist and requesting particular items.

Of all the boxes I have received, I have found at least one item that I have kept.  I was very surprised that the stylist was able to peg my style and sizes with such ease.

Let's check out what I received today!

This time, I requested fall items.  The stylist checked out my Pinterest page and saw that I had lots of warm tones, denim and plaid pinned.  This is what I got:

I love the trouser Jean! I have been looking for some for ages! Are they a tad big however? And a plaid scarf how can you go wrong? I also think the shirt fits wonderfully! Jess
