Ok friends, I need some help. I am having a serious problem with book rut. Which is defined as, I am not reading any books right now. I not only have a year-end goal to make on Good Reads (I mean please, I’m competitive and all, I can’t just let that get away from me!), but I have stopped posting about good books, because I haven’t read any. As in, I haven’t cracked open a cover in a while. I’m known to sometimes be in mourning over the ending of a good series (think, Hunger Games!). It’s odd for me to not even have a book. I once even started a book club. Actually it was more drinking wine than books, but we did have a good time!
What kind of books do I like? Well, I actually love all styles and genres of books as long as I don’t have to think a whole lot. 🙂 Reading for me is pleasure only, so don’t even think about recommending some documentary. Ok? Well, today I’m going to recap my favs from the year so far and beg you to share your latest book favs with me. My goal is to get back on the book reading bandwagon because it has been about 3 months since I’ve even smelled that new book smell.
Books of the year so far for me:
Absolutely one of the best books I’ve ever read. Maybe that’s why I’m struggling to find anything comparable.
A murder mystery, way better than Gone Girl in my opinion.
Dystopian young adult book. Good, but not Hunger Games good.
One of my favorite authors, but not one of my favorite books.
Loved this fictional biography of American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright
Similar to the Nightingale as far as the historical perspective in the book. Very good read, but I liked the Nightingale even better.
What’s missing here friends?
What books would you recommend to get me out of the book rut?
To life feeling like home!
