Today, I'm sharing a fun little activity that is a tradition around our house each holiday season. When At Home asked #myreason for the season, I immediately thought about gift giving.  I love to think of handmade or thoughtful gifts that can be created with the person in mind.  As a family, we enjoy putting together care packages for a local nursing home each year and deliver them together on Christmas Eve.  Another gift giving tradition in our home is putting together our teacher's gifts.  I think it's good to allow my children to participate and be a part of the gift giving.  Before Christmas, we begin brainstorming ideas for gifts taking into consideration the likes and wishes of the individuals.  At Home has some wonderful ideas to create one of a kind gifts for anyone on your list.

We make a fun event out of putting together the gifts and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies as we work.  This year, my children decided to do a kitchen related gift for their teachers.  They each have two main teachers, so we came up with a total of four gifts.  At Home has a huge selection of holiday decor and gift packaging ideas that make it easy to assemble a thoughtful gift.

We started with these cookie baking jars which are all ready to be loaded up with the ingredients for a perfect batch of chocolate chip cookies.  The jars include instructions so it's quick and easy to assemble.  I love the idea of putting all the ingredients in a jar and allowing the recipient the opportunity to bake the cookies when they want.  We travel during the holidays, so often times baked goods will go uneaten around our house.  This way, they can have a special treat later in the year if they wish!

To top off the gifts, At Home has festive holiday spatulas that were a perfect addition on the top of each jar.  Tie on an ornament and it's ready to be delivered.
