There is nothing more delightful than spending a Sunday afternoon among friends watching football and enjoying snacks and dips. Put on a fire, pull out the comfort foods and cheer on your favorite team. I’m convinced that the real reason we tackled that very expensive redo in our basement was specifically for the giant sports viewing TV my husband wanted! 🙂 Well played TV!
I love putting together a fun spread of appetizers to munch on so everyone can gather around in the kitchen and talk, laugh and enjoy being together. These types of gatherings are perfect theme parties. “Game Day” foods are easily served up in unique ways including a snack stadium.
I recently hosted a fun “Game Day” celebration event in collaboration with MARS. I picked up all my ingredients for a perfect spread at Walmart; SNICKERS® Minis, Skittles®, TOSTITOS® CHIPS, TOSTITOS® Medium Chunky Salsa, and Pepsi™. Walmart was convenient to get everything I needed for the event which included some fun napkins and partyware as well. You can find these items in the candy, chips and seasonal aisles.
Have you ever seen a snack stadium? If you haven’t, then you’ve been missing out. These just might be the coolest things I’ve ever seen!

I always thought of myself as a party planner, but wow, that’s some serious creativity!
For my game day celebration, I didn’t put together a snack stadium, but I did put together a fun spread of items for our guests. I made a Tex-Mex dip using the salsa which I knew would be perfect to enjoy throughout the game.
I love a spicy Tex-Mex cheese dip and this is one of my favorites for “Game Day” or anytime. It’s simple to make and always a crowd pleaser. Adding the chorizo sausage gives it a spicy kick.
TEX- MEX SPICY CHEESE DIP
8oz cream cheese
1/2 cup TOSTITOS® Medium Chunky Salsa
1 cup Mexican Shredded cheese
1. Saute sausage in the skillet
2. Add salsa and cream cheese. Stir until melted over medium heat
3. Add Mexican shredded cheese
4. Top with Jalapenos
5. Tastes best served warm straight from the pan with TOSTITOS® Chips.
Cheesy, yummy goodness right there people!
