DIY Etched Holiday Glassware

A super simple Etched Glassware DIY that is perfect for Holiday gifting. 

I shared this DIY over on Instagram Stories earlier this week. I created these beautiful Holiday glasses out of thrift store glassware sets I bought. Each glass had a different holiday icon. This idea was based on Potterybarn glasses I had from many years ago.  I recreated these classic pieces for a fraction of the cost to give as gifts this year.

I picked up all of these thrifted glasses for around $20.  I looked specifically for ones that were in sets of 4 or 6. You can also find inexpensive glassware at your local Dollar Store for this project.

I used Martha Stewart Holiday stencils (LINK) for the etching.  These are self- adhesive which makes it much easier and they can be reused. 

I started by choosing the stencils I wanted to use and placed one on each glass.

Using Armour Etch Cream (LINK), dab the cream on thick over the stencil.  

Leave the cream on for a total of 5 minutes.  Halfway through, you want to swirl it around just a bit.  This helps release any air bubbles.

After 5 minutes, take your glass to the sink and wash off the cream.  wipe dry with a paper towel and remove your stencil.

SO easy!  You have to try it!
