Hi again! It’s Week #4 of our Curb Appeal Challenge! We are one week away from our big reveal and things are coming together nicely around the Dowling house!
If you need to catch up on Weeks 1-3, you can do that here.
Last week was all about the front porch and this week, we began the decision-making process in regards to the landscape lighting. Oh jeesh! I never realized there were so many choices! Our desire was to add some lighting to our landscaping not only to increase our visibility at night but to illuminate our home in a variety of places.
Here are the areas of the home which we are concentrating our efforts on.
Lamps Plus has an amazing selection of outdoor lighting options. We ultimately chose the LED Spot and Flood Light Complete Landscape Package in black. With other outdoor fixtures in black already it was the best choice to be consistent. I liked this choice because it not only came with four flood lights but two spotlights as well. A complete package with everything you need to install right away. Even though I really liked some of the more decorative lighting options, we decided to keep it subtle and simple and instead put the focus on the areas we wanted to light up versus the lighting itself.
Want to see some of the other options we looked at?
I loved these both. I can picture how great these would look on a more formal house and setting.
After ordering, the box arrived and I was so impressed with the quality of the items and how everything was packaged and ready to go. The fixtures are super heavy duty metal with substantial weight to keep them grounded.
Ok, so that’s the update for this week. Next week, I’ll show you how it all came together with the big REVEAL!
Ready to see what my friends have been up to this week?
