Christmas in the Kitchen & DIY Glittered Fruit

Today I'm giving you a tour of our Christmas kitchen decorated with vintage Santas, a bakery themed tree, and plenty of Christmas Cheer.

I will also share a quick DIY project~ How to make Glittered Fruit. These will be used on my Christmas table setting which I will share in a future post.

I love using vintage items wherever I can and the kitchen is no exception!  I have a fun collection of vintage Santa mugs which I decided to display on my mug rack this year.  You can see how they looked on my floating shelves last year (LINK).  In addition, a few cute little deer adorn my white shelf over the peninsula.  Another area which gets special attention is the coffee station.  My regular mugs are switched out for all my Christmas ones which we use daily for coffee and hot chocolate!  I even add a small flocked kitchen tree which sits in a milk glass bowl on the island.  The theme of the tree is bakery items and its branches are adorned with cookie cutters, cupcakes, Christmas cookie ornaments, and even a miniature colander and saucepan!

My new Gingerbread Hoop Wreaths (LINK) which I shared a few weeks ago add to the festive cheer in my kitchen.

How to Make DIY Glitter Fruit

I love the look of glitter or “sugared” fruit.  It's a classic decor item you see for traditional Christmas decorations. It's super easy to make your own.  Spray adhesive, faux fruit of any kind, and glitter is all you need!
