DIY Chalkboard Tray

I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving weekend.  We had a houseful of people, but it was a great time of catching up and spending time together!

Today I'm sharing another fun DIY that would be a perfect gift for a host/ hostess or anyone who loves to entertain or cook.  This project is a rustic wood slab chalkboard tray with handles that stands on some cute little legs.   It's extremely versatile and can be used from the kitchen to the bedroom.

I use trays all over my house to corral items and create vignettes.  They are good for keeping remotes, books, candles, stacking plates, holding plants or displaying drinks or appetizers for a meal.

We recently hosted our family for Thanksgiving and instead of cooking the night before, we ordered pizzas and made a salad and appetizer plate.  I don't know about you, but Wednesday night before Thanksgiving there will be no cooking in this house!  This tray was the perfect thing to display a variety of cheeses and meats for serving!
