Create With Me~ Etched Glass Bud Vases

Today is another Create With Me Challenge day!

Create With Me challenges are hosted by Lindi from Love Create Celebrate and Samantha from Little Bits of Home.  At the beginning of each month, we will ask YOU to vote on a material to create something from. Then, at the end of the month, we will share our project using that material and host a link party for you to showcase your own projects using the material! How fun is that?!

Last month was my first month participating and I used a canvas to make this Paris map artwork.  This month, you voted and chose glass etching cream.  I was super excited about this because I have never used it before, but have always thought it would be fun to give it a try.  I can't wait to see what everyone created.  I started with three bud vases that I picked up at a thrift store for 50 cents a piece.  That's definitely a tip I want to pass along to you.  Thrift stores are the ultimate resource for glassware.  I have found so many unique pieces that I've used throughout my home just as I found them or with a little upcycling.

Supplies:

Glass Vase (any size)

Stencil of your choice

Armour Etch Cream

Rubber gloves

Paintbrush

Instructions:

1. I created a stencil with vinyl on my Silhouette Cameo, but any stencil would work as long as you can adhere it to the glass to prevent leakage underneath.

2. Put on your gloves, just to be safe and liberally apply Armour Etch cream with brush.  Leave on for 3-5 minutes.

3. Wash completely off.
