Curb Appeal Challenge 2016 Porch Refresh & Lighting: THE BIG REVEAL

Today is the day!  Yippee!

After 5 weeks of work, today is the Curb Appeal Reveal.  I really enjoyed this challenge because most of my work for the blog consists of projects inside the house, so this was really fun working on something different to share with you.

If you need to catch up on Weeks 1-4, you can do that here.

Week 1//   Week 2//   Week 3// Week 4//

Just to refresh, this was my curb appeal project list:

1.Outdoor lighting

2.Front Porch Refresh

And this was the design inspiration board that steered the direction of the project.

Last week, you saw the variety of lighting options I was choosing from and heard the plan of action.  I ultimately chose to go with this Flood and Spotlight Complete Lighting Package from Lamps Plus.  It did get completed and what a huge difference it makes!  I can now see my house and I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark when I exit the car.  I never realized how having your home illuminated adds another layer of security and style outdoors.  I love how the spotlights illuminate the trees and the surrounding bushes.  It also draws attention to the architectural features in our home.  In addition, one light was placed directly on our flag pole holder so that the flag can be lit up any time of the day or night. It's the little touches like that which make this project so worthwhile.

Ok, so it's been a busy 5 weeks and I am excited to share with you the result of all the hard work we've been doing outside!

Here we go!

Amy, it’s just beautiful and you have a beautiful home! My husband keeps talking about accent lighting – I really love how yours looks at night. I think I might need to listen a little more to what he’s saying! Your porch is perfect for multiple seasons as well – the colors you’ve chosen will go nicely right into fall. Love it all!
